Hello Everyone,
For the members who have not met me, I own and operate Butch’s Automotive & Transmission in Liverpool
NY. I thank you for the opportunity to serve as President of SSRSOUNY.
I have been in business for 32 years and have experienced many changes in our industry.
Some good and some bad, most always auto techs and owners persevere. Now more
than ever we need to stand united to get our fair share of the business. The market place
changes daily and we must stay on top of our game. Pressure from new car dealers and
mass merchandisers, all competing for our work, is relentless. So I ask, as your President,
stay on board and support your association that works hard for you each day. Help us
develop programs and give us input on new and old ideas to help ensure our existence. If
you are not happy with the direction your association is taking, please call myself, our Executive
Director, Jan Quitzau, or any board member for discussion. This next year proves
to be very challenging with getting the Right to Repair Act passed (see page 6). In addition,
new car dealer super-warranties and expanded roadside assistance plans all certainly
will have a major impact on our livelihood.
Thank you for your support and I am looking forward to a successful term and working
closely with you as your Association President.
Thanks,
